School of Chinese Literature
School of Chinese Literature, established in 2000, offers undergraduate majors in Chinese Language and Literature, Secretarial Studies, Advertising and Journalism. These majors respectively belong to two first-level academic disciplines, namely, Chinese Language and Literature as well as Journalism and Communication. Currently, the School has an enrollment of over 1,200 students and aims to cultivate well-rounded talents with traditional cultural literacy, social responsibility, innovative thinking, practical skills and global perspectives.
In terms of majors, Chinese Language and Literature has been recognized as a first-class major and a high-level characteristic major in Jilin Province, while Journalism is designated as a university-level first-class undergraduate major construction site. The four majors maintain a close and collaborative relationship, characterized by mutual support and shared faculty resources.
