School of Electrical and Information Engineering, founded in 2000, currently offers five undergraduate majors, including Electronic Information Engineering, Internet of Things Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Electrical Engineering and Automation as well as Digital Media Technology, with a total of 1,671 students.

The School has one first-class undergraduate major construction site at the national level, two provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites, two Jilin Province Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan 2.0 majors, one excellent teaching team in Jilin Province, one top-notch innovative talent in Jilin Province, three experts with outstanding contributions in Jilin Province, four teaching masters in Jilin Province, three leading talents in Jilin Province, two “Double Hundred Talents” in Jilin Province, one “Spring Sprout Talent” in Jilin Province, one “Emerging Teaching Talent” in Jilin Province, one national first-class undergraduate course, two provincial first-class undergraduate courses, two provincial high-quality courses, three provincial excellent courses and two provincial high-quality online open courses. In addition, in Jilin Province, the School undertakes the Construction Project for the Master’s Degree Authorized Unit about Electronic Information and the construction of the key discipline of “Detection Technology and Automation Equipment”. Moreover, the School has an innovation team in Higher Education for “Intelligent Detection and Information Processing” in Jilin Province and the University-Enterprise Joint Technology Innovation Laboratory in Jilin Province.
