The 1st “Chasing Light and Grace” Model Contest recently concluded its final round at the North Campus Art Theater as a highlight of the campus arts festival. The contest celebrated a dynamic fusion of cultural heritage and contemporary fashion, featuring traditional Hanfu, youthful sportswear, and modern Chinese-style outfits. Hosted by the university’s Youth League Committee and co-organized by the Student Union and Etiquette Team, the event was live-streamed on CGU’s official Douyin (Chinese TikTok) account.

18 contestants stood out from rigorous preliminary rounds, skillfully blending traditional cultural motifs with modern aesthetics on the stage. Their performances vividly showcased the beauty of Chinese heritage and artistic expression. Interactive segments like traditional culture quizzes and talent displays further immersed both contestants and audiences in the unique allure of China’s profound traditions.
