Recently, China’s 19th Changchun Film Festival came to a successful conclusion. At the invitation of the organizers, three students from the Photography Department of the School of Art and Design served as volunteer photographers for the event, participating in event coverage and promotional activities. The volunteer experience not only enhanced their professional skills through hands-on work, but also provided them with a rare opportunity to apply their knowledge. From the preparation stage of the Film Festival, the students—Sun Meng and Lin Fanjun (Photography Class 22411) and Zhao Zijian (Photography Class 24409)—joined the organizing team. They were mainly responsible for documenting promotional materials for the activities during the Film Festival. They not only needed to master the skills of reportage photography, but also had to adapt flexibly to on-site conditions, capture memorable moments, and help the organizing committee document the Film Festival’s highlights.
